Policies

Massage therapists that are members of Respect Massage hold themselves to the highest standards of an ethical, boundary-driven practice. Respect Massage members have a zero-tolerance policy for solicitations of any kind. Jokes, innuendo, and inappropriate requests are taken seriously and will result in the swift termination of the session. When choosing a practice displaying the Respect Massage logo, you can have confidence in the safety and professionalism you will experience as a client.

Covid-19

(2/2023) Masking of clients is optional at this time. However, I ask that you reschedule any appointment if you have any symptoms of Covid-19 or have been directly exposed to the virus within the last 5 days. In the event that masking becomes preferred by me, I will have disposable masks available. I may wear a mask while in session. This policy may be amended at any time I see fit.

Cancellations 

Expectations are that appointments are canceled or rescheduled, the day prior to your scheduled time. If a client cancels or no-shows on the day of their appointment, they will be charged the full fee for that appointment, not refundable. I understand that illness and unforeseen circumstances do arise and notification will be made to me (via call, text, or email) as soon as reasonably possible to avoid being charged a cancellation fee. If this courtesy is abused, it may result in fees or future booking with pre-payment only. 

Appointments

Full payment is required at the time of service.

Your first appointment: Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your first appointment, so we can complete and/or review your intake paperwork. First time clients are not permitted to book online. Please contact us for initial intake.

Recurrent appointments: Arriving at the office a few moments in advance, allows us to have a check in on how your body is doing and set a plan for the session and begin on time. If you arrive exactly at your appointment time, please understand that our check in will become part of the time allotted for bodywork, and cannot be expected to run the appointment late so I may be best prepared to serve my next client.

Boundaries

As a member of ABMP’s Respect Massage, I maintain a zero-tolerance policy for solicitations of any kind. Jokes, innuendo and inappropriate requests are taken seriously and will result in immediate termination of the session. 

In the event that we see one another in public, I will maintain professional boundaries and will not initiate contact or acknowledge that I recognize you. However, you are more than welcome to speak to me, if desired. I may choose to keep our interaction brief.
